Dr. Latrice Eggleston Williams

Dr. Latrice Eggleston Williams is the Inaugural Director of Accreditation and Assessment for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System Office. One of her key responsibilities is to plan and execute an annual professional development conference related to accreditation and assessment for Minnesota State Accreditation Liaison Officers (ALOs), administrators, faculty, and other campus support staff from all 26 colleges and 7 universities in the Minnesota State system. Ultimately, her role is to ensure that each college in the system maintains and meets each criterion of accreditation, yielding quality education and its assurance. Dr. Williams has been with Minnesota State for nearly four years and has executed three of these past conferences in collaboration with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) leadership.

Dr. Latrice Eggleston Williams is a two-time graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), earning her BA in English in 1995 and a PhD in Educational Policy Studies in 2004. She received her MS in Educational Administration and Policy Studies at the State University of New York at Albany in 1997. Dr. Williams recently earned her JM with a Business concentration from Emory University Law School in 2022. She has over 25 years of administrative experience in higher education, primarily at public institutions, including the UIUC. Dr. Williams has also worked as a faculty member at Iowa State University (tenure tracked) and Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU adjunct faculty) and provided consultant services to the University of Illinois at Chicago and NEIU. She is also the former Interim Vice President of Enrollment Management and Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Research at Chicago State University. Her research interests include enrollment, attrition, and persistence of transfer students at junior and senior higher education institutions. More specifically, she has studied transfer students in STEM at the two-year and four-year college levels.

Dr. Eggleston Williams is also civically engaged and is a proud member of Trinity United Church of Christ (i.e., Trinity Chicago), Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., The Links Inc., and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women. She is the wife of Jahmal R. Williams and Bonus Mom to Amelia Williams.
